The Game Plan; The Date
Some much persuasion and encouragement from dSaintx, I eventually gathered enough of courage and took my action to ask Ameny out for a date. A movie date. For the first meeting with her, I invited her for the movie Game Plan at the Pavilion KL.
It was on the public holiday itself that I invited her for a lunch first before we adjourned to the cinema. The lunch was at Tony Roma’s and the conversation begins. In fact, I felt quite awkward to speak with Ameny in English. Perhaps that her fluency in English wasn’t as good as Grace or I was expecting that she could catch what I wanted to say well, I begin has the feeling that I should talk to her in Cantonese. Maybe I will feel comfortable and more relaxed?
After the lunch, we proceed to the cinema and my emotion wasn’t that bad. At least it wasn’t as scary as I thought or I was worried too much? Throughout the movie, we both had a good laugh and coming to the end, the storyline gets quite emotional. At a particular scene, where the separation of the father and daughter did took a toll on me. I ended up trying to refrain myself from shedding some tears. It was really touching.
At the end of the movie, Ameny decided to go home and as advised by dSaintx, I offered to send her home. It was raining heavily and along the way to her house, which was quite a distance away I started a small conversation with her. There I am able to get to know her more and understand the way she thinks. All I can say is that she is a special lady.
Finally, I reached her house. The downpour still heavy and I offered to send her down. I took the umbrella from the back of the car and sheltered her from the car to the walkway. Being a noob, I did not know how to handle an umbrella properly. In order to shield her from the heavy rain, I ended up wetting myself. Yes. No pun intended at all.
At least it is a beginning for me. Taking a courage to go out again. The blue ocean is there for me.
