2010 In Reading
They said that reading maketh a man. So I had this reading hobby which I aimed at a book a month. By the turn of the year, I should have completed at least a dozen titles.
If there’s no counter check, I won’t know if I do slack off or not. Somehow that would be a good indication if I am having a right time management or not *cough cough*
Let’s see…..
Diary of a Taxi Driver – finished in September last year.
How Starbucks Saved My Life – finised in November.
The Logic of Life – completed in July.
The Traveler – sort of a cheat book because it was more of a graphic book with less words but full of meanings. Done in a day in May.
Linchpin – last month I guess. Not stated but it was delayed for half of the year.
The Presentation Secrets of Steve Jobs: How to Be Insanely Great in Front of Any Audience – May 2010. Interesting subject.
The Tipping Point – February 2010.
A Big Little Life – completed in January. A similar to Marley & Me.
Outliers – I bought the book The Tipping Point after reading this in February as well.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society – it was in April I read this.
Ten Powerful Phrases for Positive People – It took me 6 months to finish this. Yes. I left it to read at leisure when I stuck in the traffic congestion. Finished it in June 2010.
The Art of Cheating – some stupid guide that I felt cheated as I finish reading it in March 2010.
The Virgin Suicides – It took me a while to digest the content. August last year
The Catcher in the Rye – A classic novel. I felt angered, agitated and sort of resonated with Holden’s emotion. Finished in August last year.
Total up is 14 titles. Not bad minus 1 cheat book and “being cheated’ book, it seems to be like 12 titles. So average of 1 book in a month. So right now, I better start my marathon. Yay!
Let’s just hope I can double it by this year? *grins*
