against all odds
How could it be when things just doesn’t go your way? all i know and all I can endure, I will do it. Against what the world are subject to complacent to. Not me. I always the opposition. Against the grain to say the least.
Halfway through my initial draft, I was late for a meeting that required my dearest attention. Hence, I rushed my way through the post and to attend the meeting. It was interesting meeting because the world is so small. Almost everyone there know everyone, of the every man Jack.
After the tender briefing, I headed up to my customer premise at level 6. As my discussion with the operation manager, I have to open up my notebook to copy the agreement for the proceedings. Nonetheless, I often scan the wireless signal and to my surprise I noticed there is this unprotected wireless signal. Hence, I logged in and try to gain access to the management console. I found out that they are running at the default password which is click submit for default. ^^
Once I am inside, I find out that there are few familiar acronyms which belong to the organization. Finding that I was able to access the Internet by all means, I quickly notify the big boss for the IT department. I showed him how that I was able to gain access and suspecting that someone is broadcasting free Wi-Fi and in hope they taking counter measure to prevent data leaking or what so ever that may be compromise. I felt like I was the one that will make the end users whom using the wireless services life more miserable. Heck! Why should I care at the first place.
The IT department is my customers and their shared services is my concern. I have to protect my customer interest. Especially the big boss’s interest since they are the IT shared service provider. This is where my value comes in.
By the way, I was also being offered an opportunity to join another vendor while I am at the briefing just a moment ago. Why he so keen in me? Even though the other vendor whom interviewed me last time decided I was not a good candidate after all. Perhaps at that time I wasn’t showing any keen interest? Maybe trying very hard not to be too over enthusiastic.
I need to bail off now. I promised Wilson that I meet him by 8ish for dinner before heading to badminton session. Hopefully by tomorrow I am able to draft out another post – called “discovering the nun”
