Art of Conversation : A Book Review
Picking this up from a bookstore, I don’t know why. I would expect something interesting to read about. To my dismay, it failed between as a manual, nor a poetic chatty guide. Still I couldn’t comprehend what she is trying to say. No matter how, there are still some stuff I picked up from Catherine.
The Art of Conversation: Or, What to Say, and When – simply reminds us that while face-to-face communication is critical to intimacy and development, we are now getting lesser opportunities to converse. Most of us are all too busy emailing/skyping/BBMe/FBMessage/IM-ing each other than to bother with the old-fashioned practice of everyday chatter. – Either by picking up the phone to make calls or to get the person out for a chat.
One thing I respect is that she did her homework. Studied enough with research to link the historical stuff. Who would have done that? I wouldn’t that’s for sure. Throughout the entire reading, she cramped quite a number of stuff and advise. Which I think it makes me rather confusing and just get it through without much digestion.
I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s for bedtime reading. Good stuff.
PS. The author is hot.
