Friend – My Definition
Often, I told myself that this is the way I should look at. Being a friend….
“A friend who walks in when everyone walks out”
Just like the story of K.C Jones, the Celtics coach.
After every loss, or whenever somebody had taken a bad shot at the end of the game, he’d be the first one to walk over, pat the guy on the back and say, “Don’t worry, we’ll get ‘em next time.” But he’d never come up to you after you’d do something great. So, I asked him about it one night, and he said, “Kevin, after you’ve made the winning basket, you’ve got 15,000 people cheering for you, TV stations come at you, and everybody giving you high-fives. You don’t need me then. When you need a real friend is when you feel that nobody likes you.”
This is so profound….
