Going to Langkawi – The Final Day – Few Hours Left
Soon the sky getting clear, we headed to other destination before our check-in is due. Next drop was the Black Sand Beach. I often thought the black sand beach was like the Cenang beach or any beach that long stretch along the shores.
When I reached there, it was quite a disappointment to see that the beach seems not being maintained well. According to Yatz, he said that the blackness of the sand is deteriorating. I suspect due to the poor maintenance. It is a pity because I used to hear a lot of stories about the black sand beach. Mostly from the legend of Mahsuri.
more after the jump….
Moving forward, we headed to the Hot Spring Wells. Still under construction so there isn’t much to see. Let’s see if I will be able to enjoy the hot spring in my next trip coming March.
Traveling along the map on hand, our next stop was the Durian Perangin Waterfall. Despite the skies are gloomy dark, we hiked up the pathway while snapping some photos.
Nope. We did not reach the peak. We just left the place and drop by the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park. This is where anyone whom wanted to have a tour along the mangrove trees. Since it was only two of us, the best way is to come in group and get the best rate. Depending on the number of hour purchased for the mangrove tour, it consists of visiting the bat cave, eagle watching, fish farm and a tour to Andaman Sea.
Next stop was at the bird park. Managed to take photos with the animal. Yatz and I skipped the photo session with the snake. Hahaha. We chickened out.
After that we headed for Kuah town to look for places to have lunch. Pusing-pusing we ended up at this Kedai Kopi Satu Dua Tiga. To me it was just a normal piece of meal but to Yatz, he said that it was one of the edible food he ever had in Kuah town. My, is it that bad?
Reached the airport a little bit too early and find that the petrol tank still incredibly full. We made a total of 8 lap at the round-a-bout before finally decided to give up the car and returned back to the car-for-hire company.
With the heavy heart, we bid Langkawi goodbye. I would say that my trip would not be without the Malaysia Airlines System (MAS). Flying made easy.
