In Everything Give Thanks
Tonight I had a yumcha session with Wingz and CK. On my way home back, I tuned in to FM988. It was a “call-in session with Chanfong” where all the listeners can seek advise or opinion from the DJ Chan Fong.
He shared a story. A simple plain story reminds me of many incidents and events. Reflecting on the person’s ability to handle various issues. Here how the story goes:-
There is this one man, who claims himself to be wise. He said that he never even lose his temper before. He had a very great forbearance, so he claimed. When he grew up, he had been lucky and everything goes according to him. Smooth sailing. No rocky roads. It was all pleasant.
If he never encounter trials, tribulations and tough times, how would he know that he is a wise man capable of great forbearance?
As I listened to this story, the first person I thought of was the pink nano. Because of her, I learned to give thanks in everything. Irregardless of whether it is good things, bad things. It teaches us to appreciate the learning experience.
Next, I thought of Elle. Part of this is to let her know what I thought of her. Her recent incidents was a perhaps a trial. To train her. To help her. Part of the growing up process. Maybe she have to look it at this side of the fence. From there, I hope she is able to accept the reasons for all these happening to her. Don’t hem or haw about it. Rather learned from this incident. Best if she can appreciate that it happens to her at this stage of life.
Lastly, I thought about Leroy’s thought of patience. I often complain that my mom drives me up the wall. Her nagging and sort of. He said that we should be thankful for it. It trains our patience.
Reflecting at all these, I think about the past 5 years tenure with the co. I should thank them for everything. Good or bad. Yup~
