Letting It Go
The only person I always talk to was Wingz. He is like an elder brother to me. Eventhough I had 7 siblings none of them were as this Wingz. He shared a lot of life experience and guided me along these few years.
It has been years since I last saw my 3rd brother. He had his struggle in life too. I guess all of us grew up with own lives to take care. He had 4 mouths to feed.
He told me that he used to be a stubborn guy when it comes to failure. He failed many times in his businesses but he learned to let go. He finally were able to make peace with his failed businesses.
I knew another friend whom couldn’t let it go. After 10 years she still clinging to the idea that the guy loves her. She felt she had the hope… A false hope even though she aware of it. Until today she can’t even let him go.
Being content isn’t easy but very simple. A man with less needs. Simple needs. Then life would be easy.
It’s not about money. Said my brother. It is not just about money but many other as well. Money is just one of it. We were referring to the drinking habits. Same goes to gambling.
If you walk out today, try do it with both your fist clenched. How does it feels?
There are two stories that reminds me of putting the burden down. Letting it go. Don’t be too stubborn about the outcome. Que Sara Sara. Whatever will be will be. Life as affinity.
First story was about two monks crossing river. Stumble upon a young hot lady trying to cross the river. If the lady wade through the river she will get drenched. The monk offer his help to carry the lady over. The other monk felt uncomfortable as monk should stay away from opposite sex. The image of the monk carrying the lady over the river stuck in the other monk’s mind for weeks. Until one day he gathered enough courage to ask. The wise monk told the other monk that he had already drop the lady at the river side weeks ago. Why can’t you let it go?
As for second story about monkey. A monkey was caught trying to take the sweets from the coconut. A small hole was made at the coconut. Small enough to let the monkey slip its hand in but not if he grabbed the sweets. So if the monkey able to let it go, there would be different by now
