Review

Rating: 8

It started a little confusing to begin with. The book was all about letters and correspondence. Storytelling through several views and perspective. Mainly it was through the eyes of Juliet Ashton who also famous under the pen name of Izzy Bickerstaff.

For her first novel by Mary Ann Shaffer and appeared to be her last as well, the novel seems to be an easy read after all. I got to know her demise as I tried to google for more of her other works. It seems she has returned to the Lord on 2008 February. God bless her.

Injected between the humor in the story, she managed to make the heart saddening story of German Occupation in the Channel less horrifying. Recommend it for all.
