 Nikon D3s Showcase

2009 Nikon Roadshow Mid Valley

A couple weeks back Nikon was having its showcase in Mid Valley Megamall featuring it’s new flagship D3s. I was fortunate to be there because they were offering free lens cleaning for Nikon dSLRs.

Luckily enough for me that I did carry my d80 along with me and it was a swift process. Once done, the 2 spots were gone. No more dirty pictures.

It was quite spectacular with the crowd gathering to participate in taking the model on the runway.

I tired out the D3s and realized that it is just a refinement of the existing D3 which launched back in 2007. With the D3s signature default ISO of 12800, it allows the photographers capture images in darkest night. One thing I come to like about is the buffer size of catering 48 RAW frames in one single burst as compared to D3 which holds 18 RAW frames.

Other features which most commonly know about is their EXPEED image processor, 51 Auto Focus sensor, 3.0″ LCD monitor of 922,00 pixel and HDMI HD video output. With this Nikon is able to compete with Canon high end range of 1D and 5D series.

Still I yet prefer a d700. Christmas is coming so theoretically I can actually make my Christmas wish and hope for the best? icon biggrin Nikon D3s Showcase On the second thought, I better stick back to my own current body.
