Samsung Galaxy S – fixing the lag
After a while, when I start to install more apps, running more widgets and suff it getting lagging. Especially when I tried to scroll to left or right. It was due to the native filesystem the phone come with. FAT32. So either waiting for the Froyo 2.2 to be release for the Samsung Galaxy S (SGS), or fixing it by rooting it.
I tried to follow the guide provided, using 1-Click Lag Fix but after numerous attempt to go into the recovery mode via the phone, it did not happened. Until yesterday weekend when Bryan decided to root the phone and apply the lag fix.
He was using the USB debugging features to access the phone. I tried the same after Bryan’s advise and eureka, I manage to uproot it. Here’s the link to root it with a single click.
After I rooted my phone, I attempt to run the Galaxy S – 1 Click Lag Fix here. I follow the instruction here although there seems to have OneClickLagFix V2. No idea what is the difference, I stick to the author post.
Lastly, it runs well and solved my lag issue. One thing to take note. WhatsApp for Android is out. But I cannot even run it because it stated that the application is conflicting with the existing 3rd party task manager. I couldn’t find out which task manager she i referring to. This is sucks. :\
