Samsung Galaxy S
A slim sleekly phone. Said to be the contender to iPhone4. To me, there aren’t actually best as the technology advances rapidly these days. Tomorrow there will be newer model out. Nonetheless, it is still considered one of the rival to iPhone4. After a week plus of holding the device, I finally got a grip of the phone. A little too fragile to be handled.
If you Google-ed for the comparison between them both, you will find a lot of websites or blogs on these reviews. On the technical aspects as well as the user experience. You can check out Bryan’s review on Galaxy S here. He did a good review on the product itself.
As the Froyo for SGS (Samsung Galaxy S) delayed, I will need to root the device as to fix the lagging issue. It is well known due to the filesystem that the Samsung came out with. FAT32 is not able to handle the massive storage size. I do admit it was lagging despite my customer told me it was smooth when they switching homescreens. The second thing that come into my mind is the difficulty for me to root it. I tried to access the recovery mode by pressing Home+Power+Volume Up buttons to no avail. Still unable to root it.
Maybe I have to wait till Froyo out then?

As the Android is meant to run on the cloud services, I find that Samsung’s Contacts application is unable to handle the Contact group well when I sync it from the Google’s Contact. That’s a huge disappointment and I wanted to see it being solved in the Froyo or next release from Samsung. I found out from the research on the Net shows that the Samsung usually very slow in their release of the firmware update.
As for the rest of the testing, Bryan did it well here and here.
=) meantime I gotta send my good ol’ iPhone for repair. It keeps stuck in the headphone mode. Damn!
