After reading Kenny’s post, I had the thought about suicide. What is the means to suicide? It takes a lot of courage to pull the plug.

Why do suicide happens? It is committed out of despair. Desperation to escape. An easy way out. You may not be strong but one have to learn to cope. It is the way out. Other methods doesn’t give hundred percent. Like drinking dettol. Taking whole bottle of medicines.

With a list of suicide method, jumping off a building is always the guaranteed suicide method. Why? Because once you leap from that edge, there is no turning back.

If I plan to suicide, I will opt for two options. First will be leaping off from a high-rise building. Something like Crest Tower so after I die, I will become ghost and wait for Eric to buy me roast pork (siu yoke) every day.

Else, will go suicide cop. Let the policemen to gun me down .

I think Kenny Ng’s post is insightful, but would have been nice if he wrote more. Then again, maybe it is all he knows.

Most people who suicide due to depression (as in the case of Alvin) usually go through a weak period where they are so low they can’t even kill themselves, It is when they are coming out of it and gain some more strength that they are able to commit the act. The sad thing about this, is if they held on for another hour they’d probably come out of it for a while and decide not to kill themselves. Of course, they then will go back into a depression and once again come out of it. Much like a wave, where the emotions go up and down.

He probably would have gone through the stages of grief and even been angry at the world or his GF etc much of the time as well as his depression.

But, I think it is always important for anyone wanting to kill themselves to know that if you find you have the strength to do it, then you just need to hold on for a while longer. It won’t stop you going back into a depression, but it will keep you alive.

Most people kill themselves because it is the only way to stop the pain they are experiencing. If there was a way to stop the pain, then they would certainly not do it. That is one of the reasons I am against euthanasia and letting people suicide etc. There is a ‘pro-euthenasia’ group that is very vocal in Australia, and I really hate it when I hear them say, ‘If someone wants to die, let them die.’ because usually the person doesn’t really ‘want’ to die, they want to end their pain and just see death as a way to achieve that.
