At the age of 27, being the first time traveling oversea is really something I not sure whether I should be proud of or not. In fact, I would not have the opportunity until the other day when one of the Ah Beng decided that we should go for Bangkok. I thought they were just joking when suddenly I was being informed that the flight and hotel arrangement was done.

Web Check-in

I was taken aback and due to the earlier commitment, I eventually had to go to get my passport up in order to travel to Thailand. Thomas told me that all of us will be traveling via Malaysia Airlines. Being excited with the travel, I was over packed for the trip. Thus, it actually clogging the luggage bag from getting more stuff back from Bangkok. On top of that, I also regret bringing small luggage which I should be able to fit 20kg check-in luggage. Otherwise I could bring the entire Bangkok back.

On Departure

On the final round before we meet up for the departure, we were instant messaging each other while I was trying to confirm the stuff need to bring. What to do, it was my first time traveling this far. Anyway, been an eager beaver I checked in earlier than Wingz and Thomas. I tried out the web-based check-in. It was easy piece of cake to get myself check-in. Apparently I need to check in in between 24 to 1 hours before the check-in time. If there is less than 1 hour before check-in time, one is required to use the counter check-in. The rojaks ended up queuing up.

Our flight to Bangkok was on the 737 at G6. It was an enjoyable ride as we mess around with the stewardesses for items such as blankets and pillows. As we take off, the cabin crew run a demo on how to put on safety belt and stuff like that. I did not paying attention as I was busy taking photos.

Not to forget the constant smile from the sweet Agnes Soh, she became the subject of my camera till touchdown. Along the path, the next thing that caught my attention was the food. I had a full meal from the serving and kept the Ferrero Rocher for later savoring.

Once we landed, I was like totally disbelief this is happening to me. I have finally touched my feet on the other ground. The other land. Felt like it was a huge step for me. Especially to be in Bangkok. We walked toward the immigration area to get the clearance and my devil mind started its actions. What if I could not get through? What if I were being suspected to be part of Thaksin group that on my way to Bangkok and causing riots? and the list goes on…

Eventually I manage to get through the clearance and finally, I could see the smile. The land of smile. Spa, massage, shopping and tomyam here i come. *ps: i got my first stamp on the passport

The upcoming trip to Bangkok, flying there is my sole flight with the virgin passport to be stamp. Just the other day I went to collect the passport, I had a visitor. Totally unexpected. When I showed to a friend the photo I took with the visitor, she said “kinkybluefairy” and I was taken aback by her statement.

Wondering all this is just a sign since it is my first time traveling oversea. When people asked if I ever took a flight before, I would answer yes. I remember the time back then I was very young. Standard 4 I think and I was at my cousin’s place in Taman Perling, Johor. It was during school holiday and it was about time to get back to KL to embark on the new shocking year. We took the flight as in me and my sister. We got on the flight without any guardian. Back then was being Standard 4 and Standard 5, it was sort of very cool thing.

My cousin sister even reminded us that do asked for orange juice when being served in the plane. I recalled somehow me ended with a cup of coffee and her with a cup of tea. Since we were traveling without a guardian, the treatment provided by the MAS was tremendously cool. We got to go on special setup on the front shuttle while the rest of passengers ended up on passenger seats.

Now again after all these years, I am on holiday to Bangkok!!! Yes and this time, I going to reminiscences the long years good memory with Malaysia Airlines (MAS) again. Oh ya, forgot to tell you that it is my first time getting out of the country. Being advised not to bring any bright yellow or bright red shirts for the fear of being wrongly labeled while being in Bangkok.

Lately I found myself deaf of words. I could not even contain myself to work on a proper blog post. Either it was the cloud inside my head or the rain that I has been chasing after all these years.

Nuffnang Party Year 2

I reminded myself that yesterday was an anniversary of something profound, back in 4th April 2007. So, in everything give thanks. That what I have learned back then. I started with a simple gesture of discarding the sincere invitation from Wingz to go out on a joy ride with her instead of going to the party.

The day started with mocha from her and muffin from me till the sun set. Good time happened to end so fast. We adjourned for a dinner at the Alexis the Gardens.

I got myself for the first time open up a bottle of white wine. There goes my first time. With her the experience was totally, like they said… Awesome!!! We ended the day with the undeniable tiramisu.

The next morning, I desired nothing but a good coffee. Had an affogato, a cup of Brazilian coffee and then updated my facebook status through Daniel’s iPod Touch. The rain was the only reason for me to update the status through twitter.

Got the call from thomas. I suppose to meet him at the Sepang since the ticket was with him. I rushed there and manage to catch the glimpse of the race despite the heavy rain.

I see some trying their best to capture the moment.

The dark clouds appeared. I had phone call. A date with Susan. I rushed to Mahkota Cheras for dinner there. Served by beautiful waitress named Eva. E…V…A…

Had a great company and throughout the night, I tried to kid myself. The disguising laughter. Did she realized it? Or yes, I am the great pretender. She told me that her birthday was just over and insisted that I got her a birthday present. A belated one. Being random me, I realized I kept a present inside my car. It was supposed to give to the other friend whom really looking for this CD. Forever and More CD. Too bad she never wanted to come out to redeem it so since founder keeper I had this friend of mine to have it.

To wrap things up, I wished for rain to come when I needed it.

Random Traffic

When you got many things pending and yet, your mind is just as blank as a white piece of paper, you just realized that you could not do much about it except putting up some pictures. Mostly the pictures you have been taken lately.
