The 18th Anniversary – Carven Ong
Last week Friday which happened to the public holiday for Selangor caused the entire Kuala Lumpur city to be flooded with cars. It caused me time lost due to the traffic congestion in traveling from one place to another.

Wingz was courteous to invite me to join the alpha gang in the photo shooting in Prince Hotel. I asked him what was the event about which I have totally no idea until I went there. It was Carven Ong 18th Anniversary and the Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. OMFGGGGG… I don’t know it was that grand event until I was there. Luckily I did not dress to disgrace.
Carven Ong made his debut at MODA Wanita Fashion Show back in 1991 and from there onwards, he today a principle, prominent designer and also an entrepreneur. I asked a few ladies and they claimed that Carven Ong is a very well known brand among for his wedding collection.
Thus I was at this event, where we celebrating 18 years anniversary and the launching of the new Spring/Summer 2010 Collections with an aim of bringing his creation to the high level of fashion design.
The Spring/Summer 2010 collection is called “Snacas’ Spell” (snaca old English word of ‘snake’) – is an inspiration like mimicking human mutating into cold-blooded creatures. Well, the long evening gowns are electrifying sexy and elegant with the snake design coil around the heads, clasping through waists, entwined on body and throats as an symbol of Eve’s temptation and of elegance, as it’s seen in Greek mythology. Simply put, the theme is damn right.
Every outfit has its individually outstanding with details of colourful beads. glitters, crystals and gems which bring the collection to haute-couture status, while the uniqueness lies in the true beauty of the enchanting world. With the vibrant colours come the mixture of fabrics from silk chiffon, super crepe, duchess satin and lace. Wah lau yeah~
There were a lot of celebrities attending the event as well.
We got Winnie Soo to be special guest to perform this song “蘇盈之- 一眼夢幻” I think.
Amber Chia was there too. Uh huh.
