The Waiting Guys

Just the other day when I was shopping in the Curve. Actually I was at the IKEA looking for bargain. Turned out that things even though getting a slash on the price tag yet above my budget most of the time. Anyhow I ended up RM50 poorer.

So when I done with the shopping, I decided to go for a walk in the Curve to renew my MPH member card. After two years, I got some rebates from my purchases in MPH. On the other note, I was at Pavilion the day before and hence tempted to get myself “Times Bookstore” membership card. They were offering for like RM15 for two years. Still, I hardly find myself going into Times. Most of the time would be either Borders or MPH.

After that when i walked out from the MPH Bookstore, I notice there were few couches and sofas were meant for the patrons. As a resting point. Chilling out but not for sleeping. Oddly, I had certain set of perception from what I saw.

I saw a bunch of men. From all walks of life. Young one. Adults. Old. One of them, in his late 30s had the stroller with him. He seems to be waiting for someone. The other two, were chilling. Half asleep I reckon. Or two of them were on the double date. Their dates probably somewhere within the vicinity doing what they do best – shopping.

The two elderly seems to fast asleep on the couch. Prolonged waiting. I felt sorry for them. In fact, I was able to relate to them. The agony and despair of waiting. Waiting for the moment to arrive. That is seriously killing us slowly and yet softly.

No wonder they said patience is a virtue. Must be acquire through such intense training.
