Try Say Yes
Would you start doing things differently if you know that by saying the word “Yes” can lead you to somewhere else? Out of our daily routine, we tend to love the idea of spontaneous.
The film “Yes Man” was loosely based on a true story and 2005 book. If you think your life is bored, maybe you can seek some inspirations from the film. Jim Carrey played a character, Carl Allen whom sees the world so negatively that he says NO to almost everything. Not until he attended the seminar and changed his way of life.
By welcoming the word YES, he starts to explore new things in life. It’s a whole new world. I see the analogy of a life as a streaming river. To keep it stall, it will become dead water. That’s why even if you rare fishes in a river with confined space, the fishes won’t taste as good as the fishes that swim freely. Coming back to this movie, a cute beautiful lady played by the Zooey Deschanel was the one he stumbled upon after the commencement of the “yes” covenant. The so-called one.
The story takes on us on a ride from the adventure of his new undertakings of interest and hobbies include finding an Middle East wife. Imagine the possibilities and the door of chances you might be opening up just by that one word – YES.
One thing I learned from the movie, it’s never too late to take up things you always been wanting for. Procrastinate not.
My ratings? 7.5/10 – due to the add on romance-comedy which are much of less predictable.
